George Mayzell, M.D., MBA, FACP, is the chief patient care officer at Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare. Prior to this role, he served as chief medical officer at Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare - Germantown Hospital. Dr. Mayzell is responsible for regulatory readiness and interdisciplinary clinical practice standardization. Partnering with the quality department, Dr. Mayzell is responsible for streamlining patient care coordination system-wide, which focuses on accountability for patient care improvements.

Before joining Methodist Healthcare, Dr. Mayzell served as senior medical director of Patient Management Effectiveness for Shands Healthcare, a nine-hospital system integrated with the University of Florida, College of Medicine.
