The Methodist Hospice Residence integrates the very best tradition of faith, health and compassion for all ages.
The Methodist Hospice Residence is a free-standing facility where the terminally ill can go when the symptoms management becomes too complex, when the patient can no longer be cared for at home, when a period of rest is needed by the caregiver or when the patient finds themselves with no caregiver to help. It opened in July 2011.
Made up of 30 beds, our hospice residence has the ability to provide acute care rooms for those who require symptom management and short-term residential beds for those who cannot be cared for at home. Specialized equipment is available to convert up to five of the rooms for the end-of-life care for infants and children.
Each of the rooms is located on the first floor with a unique design allowing the patient’s bed to be wheeled into the outside gardens. Gardens and walking paths abound so that those who cannot go outside everyday can enjoy a view of the landscape.
