The Children's Foundation Pledges $2.5 Million to the new Le Bonheur Children's
The Children's Foundation of Memphis recently pledged $2.5 million to Le Bonheur Children’s capital campaign to build a new facility. This gift will fund a 12-bed in patient unit for research and brings the total amount raised for the new hospital to almost $87 million. Three Families Raise Funds for Le Bonheur
When the McCarter family agreed to participate in Le Bonheur's A Family Affair, they never dreamed that their fundraising efforts would top $53,000 and win the title of Miracle Maker Family of the Year. Grateful that the life of their son had been saved at Le Bonheur, Angela and Steven McCarter reached out to family and friends to help them raise money so other children in need would receive the same kind of exceptional care that Matthew had been given. Capture Your Change
Wanted: Change Bandits. Reward: a state-of-the-art pediatric hospital for all children in the Mid-South area and beyond.
Friday, June 18, is the kick off for this year's Change Bandits, a fundraiser held in conjunction with the 2008 Le Bonheur Radiothon on FM 100 to benefit Le Bonheur Children's.
You can become a Change Bandit by simply collecting spare change from co-workers, family and friends for Le Bonheur Children's. Any community group - from Scout Troops to churches - can participate.
In 2007, Change Bandits from across the Mid-South raised almost $40,000 for the hospital. With your help this year we can raise even more!
