Research and Education

Research is an important part of the work being done in the Le Bonheur NICU.  Our current research project is a feeding initiative using multiple disciplines to determine when and how an infant is ready to feed.  The research performed in the NICU allows our physicians and staff to offer the very best care possible for your child.

Each family is given very specific information about your infant's particular diagnosis and how best to care and treat your child.  Parents are encouraged to ask questions about your child's condition.

We also provide parents with a list of veteran parents that are willing to talk with you about their experiences at Le Bonheur and in the NICU.  If you would like to talk with other parents, please let us know, and we will be happy to arrange a convenient time and place for you to meet.
