Le Bonheur Children's Medical Center's commitment to providing excellent and the most advanced care for children of the region continues with the establishment of two centers of excellence. The Neuroscience Institute and the Cardiac Institute are dedicated to the treatment and research of pediatric conditions. Children from all over the region and country visit Le Bonheur each year to be treated at these Institutes. From groundbreaking research in epilepsy and brain tumors, to the Tennessee's first and only certified fetal echocardiography laboratory, the Centers of Excellence at Le Bonheur are improving the health status of children in Memphis and the region.

Cardiac Institute
About eight in every 1,000 children are born with a congenital heart defect. The only pediatric cardiovascular program in the Mid-South, the Cardiac Institute at Le Bonheur offers extensive services in this area.

Neuroscience Institute
The Neuroscience Institute at Le Bonheur Children's Medical Center serves as the regional and national hub for the evaluation and treatment of neurological disorders in children and adolescents.
