Your Partnership as a Parent

While staying with us, you are encouraged to:

  • Feed your child
  • Ask for your child's favorite foods from your food and nutrition representatives
  • Go with your child for tests and procedures
  • Change diapers
  • Be with your child during stressful procedures, such as drawing blood

Le Bonheur Child Life Department
Le Bonheur's Child Life Department can help you understand and support your child. Child Life has trained staff and hospital volunteers who plan activities such as bingo, and hold activities with games, toys and books. The Child Life playrooms are located on 5 West, 6 West and 7 West and are open during certain times each day. Check the calendar in your room for daily events. A teacher is here Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to
2:30 PM to help your child with any academic needs. For more information, call Child Life Services at (901) 287-6021.  Click here for more information about our Child Life Services.
