We pass along our commitment to diversity to our Associates through training that teaches inclusion and respect. All Associates and team leaders are required to attend diversity training during orientation. Diversity in Business Our commitment extends to our business practices. Our Supplier Diversity Program, created by the Corporate Diversity Committee, strives to expand and evolve the organization's purchasing from minority and women-owned businesses. Over the last five years, the entire system has increased spending with minority- and women-owned businesses by more than 300 percent. Methodist Le Bonheur is a strong supporter of supplier diversity and has been honored by the Mid-South Minority Business Council, the Black Business Association, Premier and others for its creative work to develop diverse vendor relationships.
