2008 Tennessee River Run

It’s time again for the Tennessee River Run benefiting West Tennessee charities including Le Bonheur Children’s Medical Center. The event will kick off with a Bass & Catfish Fishing Tournament and Boat Poker Run Sept. 6 and conclude with a Gospel Concert on Sunday, Sept. 14 in the home town of country singer Darryl Worley, Savannah, Tenn.

This year's event steps up the entertainment value with a rock concert headlined by 38 Special and guest Southern rockers Floord on Friday, September 12. The following night Darryl will headline the grand finale country concert with special guests Restless Heart, Point of Grace and Keith Anderson. Point of Grace will also headline the Sunday Gospel Show, which will include Geron Davis and Kindred Souls.

This year promises something for everyone, including a motorcycle ride, golf tournament, 5-K run, auction, private lunch with meet & greet and the much- anticipated songwriters-in-the-round dinner with some of today's biggest hit makers. Joining Darryl will be Wynn Varble ("Have You Forgotten"), Jennifer Hanson ("Leave the Pieces") and Mark Nesler ("Living and Living Well") for an unforgettable intimate evening.

For those who dream of taking the big stage one day, Darryl is conducting a talent contest, and the winner will perform on stage at the River Run.
