Rhonda Shaw Murchison, R.R.T, B.S.N., M.S., NEA-BC, became the associate administrator/chief nursing officer at Methodist North in 1992. Murchison is currently responsible for all inpatient nursing areas including surgical services, cath lab, Same Day Surgery, Emergency Department, ICU, CVICU, NICU, ICU stepdown and CVICU stepdown. She is also responsible for Pharmacy Services.
She began her career in the CVICU unit at Methodist in 1982. Murchison has proven to be instrumental in improving patient satisfaction, maintaining professionalism in nursing and assisting in the efforts of the pilot for OneChart, Methodist's electronic medical record. She has more than 30 years experience in nursing administration and hospital operations.
Murchison received her Master's degree in Health Services Administration from the University of St. Francis and her Bachelor's degree in Nursing from the University of Mississippi.
Murchison is a member of the Class of 2006 Leadership Bartlett Program.
