Bill May, M.D., became Chief Medical Officer at Le Bonheur in November 2004, but he has been associated with Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare and many of its service areas since 1977.
He was the first medical director of Le Bonheur Sleep Center and Le Bonheur Epilepsy Center. Most recently, he was medical director for the Care Management Department at Methodist North Hospital.
Dr. May is an assistant professor of Pediatrics and Neurology at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. He also received his medical degree and performed his pediatric and neurology residencies at the University of Tennessee.
In 2002, Dr. May received a Master's Degree in Business Administration from Christian Brothers University. A Memphis native, Dr. May has spent most of his career at Le Bonheur practicing pediatric neurology.
Dr. May is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and the American Board of Clinical Neurophysiology. He is an associate member of the American College of Hospital Executives.
