Debbie Dafferner, R.N., B.S.H.A., has served as the associate administrator/chief nursing officer for Methodist Le Bonheur Germantown Hospital since 2003. Dafferner is responsible for all patient care and nursing practices, compliance to all state and federal accrediting bodies, as well as directing the strategic goals and programs for the hospital to meet the needs of patients and physicians.

Prior to her role as chief nursing officer, Dafferner was the administrative director at Methodist Germantown Hospital and responsible for the emergency department, respiratory therapy, non-invasive cardiology, and played a key role in the $50 million expansion of the cardiac services department.

For more than thirty years, Dafferner has served in executive and nursing roles at Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare, including starting her career as a registered nurse at Methodist Central Hospital (now Methodist University Hospital).

Dafferner received her Bachelor of Science in Health Arts from the University of St. Francis in Joliet, IL, and is currently enrolled at the University of Memphis in the master's program for Nursing Administration. She is a member of the American Organization of Nurse Executives, the Tennessee Organization of Nurse Executives and the Emergency Nurses Association.
