Bill Breen is Senior Vice President of Physician Alignment at Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare, as of June 1, 2010. Previously, he was CEO of Health Choice, LLC, the exclusive managed care contracting organization for MetroCare Physicians and Methodist Healthcare, serving the Memphis and Mid-South area. Breen will be responsible for overseeing the development of strategies and operations that align Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare and its physician partners.
He earned a bachelor's of business administration from the University of Louisville and an MBA from the University of Memphis. Breen has been part of the extended Methodist family for 19 years, having joined Health Choice in 1991 as director of operations. He has served as Health Choice CEO since 1997 and in that role he is responsible for all managed care operations for Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare and MetroCare Physicians. Under his leadership Health Choice grew by 150,000 covered lives.
