What is Home Medical Equipment?
Home Medical Equipment and Respiratory Care Services are provided in the home to help patients with daily living needs. In many cases, the use of medical equipment in the home helps patients leave the hospital and return home more quickly. When the patient is ready to go home, the needed equipment and supplies are delivered to the hospital or directly to the patient's home. The staff then sets up the equipment and educates the patient and family on its use.
