Brain and Spine Institute Patient & Family Resources
Brain Tumor Support Group
The Brain Tumor Support group meets on the first Thursday of the month at Methodist University Hospital. This uplifting group is open to all those affected by brain tumors, including family members, friends, patients and caregivers. Often the support group features a speaker to discuss treatment options, research, therapy and caregiving. Through education and awareness, we can assist in increasing and strengthening family support, and help participants learn how to decrease feelings of isolation through group involvement. This, in turn, will enhance the quality of life for all who are affected by this disease.
There is no fee for the meeting, but registration is requested. Please contact volunteer coordinator, Cherry Welborn, at 901.757.0806 for more information. Those who are unable to come to the meeting may call in. Please contact Cherry for the meeting call in number.
When: First Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m.
Where: The Dorothy & James Graham Neuroscience Education Center conference room located on the 4th floor of the Thomas Tower at Methodist University Hospital.
Methodist University Hospital is located in midtown Memphis, just off the I-240/Union Exit, at 1265 Union Ave. Participants are encouraged to park in the lot off of Eastmoreland, directly across from the main entrance. When you enter the hospital, the Tower elevators are to your left after the information desk.
