Resident salaries vary by year of residency.

Meals

Meals provided at lunch and when on call.

Vacation

• Two weeks of vacation which must be taken on Electives
• Six days off at either Christmas or New Years

Physician Impairment

Residency is a very stressful period; therefore, formal and informal measures are in place to monitor resident stress and any learning or drug or alcohol related dysfunction.

• Core curriculum lectures for house staff and faculty on stress management and drug or alcohol problems
• Resiliency Enhancement, a book on stress management, is provided at orientation
• Confidential counseling, psychological support and referral
