During your pre-transplant kidney evaluation you will undergo several tests. This testing is necessary to ensure that you are optimally ready to undergo transplant surgery. Below are some of the tests that will be required:

  • Chest X-ray
  • Pulmonary Function Test
  • Arterial Blood Gas
  • Echocardiogram
  • Cardiac Stress Test
  • CTA of the Aorta and Iliac arteries (ultrasound if the patient is not on dialysis)
  • Carotid Ultrasound
  • Cardiac evaluation by a cardiologist if necessary
  • Pulmonary evaluation by a pulmonologist if necessary

This may not be an all inclusive list of testing and may be altered depending on your needs as a patient.
