    How do I pre-register?

You can pre-register online for delivery at the Women's & Children's Pavilion.

    Where is the Pavilion located?

Methodist Le Bonheur Germantown Hospital is located at 7691 Poplar Avenue on the corner of Poplar and Germantown Road. Entrances are located off of Poplar Avenue across from the Village Square shopping center, and the other is Germantown Road, across from the Old Town Center. The Pavilion is located directly off the entrance from Germantown Road. A new parking deck offering 600 parking spaces is located just south of the Pavilion.

What do the rooms look like? Will I stay in the same room for Labor & Delivery and postpartum?

New moms deliver in a spacious labor and delivery room located on the second floor (ground floor) of the Pavilion. Your family is welcome to visit you during this time and a sleeper sofa or chair will be in your room for your support person to rest while you are in labor. Once your baby arrives, you will transfer to a spacious post partum room located on the fourth floor. There are multiple well-baby nurseries also located on this floor so that your baby will be nearby should you choose to use the nursery. You are also welcome to have your baby room-in with you during your recovery. Sleeper couches and/or chairs, wiFi access, flatscreens and walk-in bathrooms with showers are available in each room. Pictures of the rooms are featured on The New Pavilion page. Click on the images for more information.

What about security? Is my baby safe?

The new Pavilion houses one of the most technologically advanced infant security systems available on the market. We are not publicly releasing information on this system for safety reasons; however, you can find out more about infant security when you take a tour.

What if my baby needs to go to the NICU?

We are very proud of our level III neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) and the benefits it offers to families. The level III NICU features private rooms with sleeper sofas or chairs where families are able to stay with their new infant 24/7. Rooms are monitored closely by our nursing staff and a neonatal specialist that is on staff at the hospital at all times. New mothers will have privacy to breastfeed and/or pump, allowing them to bond with their newborn. There are also private rooms to accommodate families with multiples.

    What if I need a C-Section?

The new Pavilion houses three C-section surgical suites, located on the second floor adjacent to labor and delivery rooms. A first in the Mid-south, an OB hospitalist is on staff 24/7, available to assist your physician if needed.

What services does the Le Bonheur Unit offer? Can I bring my child here instead of Le Bonheur Children’s Medical Center?

The Women’s and Children’s Pavilion offers an expanded Le Bonheur Pediatric Unit for noncritical injuries and illnesses. Experienced pediatric nursing staff works closely with pediatricians and pediatric specialists using Le Bonheur-developed protocols in caring for children. Children with more critical illnesses or injuries are stabilized and sent to Le Bonheur Children’s Medical Center.
