As of Monday, October 17, Carvel Imaging Centers located in Southaven and Olive Branch, Miss., have a new name. The two centers have been renamed Methodist Diagnostic Center to reflect they are part of the Methodist family. Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare purchased Carvel Imaging Centers in February 2008.
“With our growing presence in Mississippi, we decided it made sense to change the name from Carvel to Methodist to consistently reflect our brand,” said Mitch Graves, president and CEO of Methodist Healthcare's Affiliated Services Division. “Patients will continue to receive the best care and service at both locations.”
Methodist’s growing presence in Mississippi includes plans to build a hospital in Olive Branch. A ground breaking celebration will be held October 19. The new hospital located at the southeast corner of U.S. Highway 78 and Bethel Road will be a full-service facility including emergency services, obstetrics, cardiology, a diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac cath lab, and MRI.
