Michael Neel, M.D., has been named Chief of Staff for Methodist Le Bonheur Germantown Hospital. In this role, Dr. Neel oversees the medical staff. Through this position he works in partnership with other physicians and the leadership and associates of Methodist Le Bonheur Germantown Hospital to focus on providing high quality, cost-effective care in a manner that is both patient and family centered.
Dr. Neel is fellowship trained in orthopaedic oncology and is a total joint surgeon with OrthoMemphis, a division of MSK Group, P.C.
He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in microbiology from the University of Alabama and received his medical degree from the University of Tennessee College Health Science Center College of Medicine. Dr. Neel performed his residency at the University of Florida Medical Center in Jacksonville and his fellowship in orthopaedic oncology at the University of Florida in Gainesville.
Dr. Neel is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the Musculoskeletal Tumor Society, the Association of Bone & Joint Surgeons, and the Tennessee Orthopaedic Society. He is also a clinical assistant professor of orthopaedics at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center.
