Methodist North Surgery Center and Methodist Germantown Surgery Center are recipients of the 2013 Bernard A. Kershner Innovations in Quality Improvement Award in the surgical/procedural category. Terrye Parrish, clinical compliance coordinator with Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare, entered the winning study “Safely Implanting Vendor-Owned Surgical Implants.’ It was selected from 41 entries.
“Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare and its physician partners are on a journey to improve quality, outcomes, and safety for all of our patients,” said Mitch Graves, president of affiliated services. “Terrye’s work is a great example of what can be accomplished not just for our surgery centers but can be shared with all surgery centers.”
This award program is through the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care Institute for Quality Improvement.
