Methodist South Hospital will continue their Whitehaven Farmer’s Market from noon – 5 p.m. through Monday, November 25 in front of the Medical Office Complex, 1300 Wesley Drive, off Elvis Presley Drive.
“Methodist South is providing a healthy option for the community to receive food with nutritional value,” said Methodist South CEO Jay Robinson, PsyD. “Plus, this a good time for people to plan their holiday meals.”
There are a variety of fruits and vegetables available including: fresh mustard, turnip and collard greens, sweet potatoes, kale, Granny Smith apples, pecans, organic breads and baked goods, candy and caramel apples.
Sweet potato, pecan, chocolate, coconut and apple pies are also available for holiday orders.
Fruits and vegetables that are grown locally are picked when perfectly ripened, not like a supermarket that harvests its produce weeks before it is sold. For more information, call 516-3580.
