On October 19, 2011 hundreds of supporters and partners joined Methodist Healthcare to break ground on a new 100-bed hospital in Olive Branch, Mississippi. The new facility, located at the southeast corner of U.S. Highway 78 and Bethel Road, will be a full-service hospital offering:
When the new hospital opens in mid-2013, it will allow Methodist Healthcare to better serve the approximately 47,000 Mississippi residents we already serve in our Memphis hospitals. The new hospital will support our mission of collaborating with patients and their families to be the leader in providing high quality, cost-effective patient and family-centered care.
The new hospital will also support MLH’s commitment to sustainability by being designed in accordance with U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification. Gresham, Smith and Partners (GS&P), Smith Seckman Reid, Inc. (SSR) and Turner Construction Company have been selected as an integrated project delivery (IPD) team for the design and construction of the new hospital.
