Regarding the current outbreak of fungal meningitis:
“The current outbreak of fungal meningitis in Tennessee, and a number of other states, is tied to epidural injection drugs manufactured by the New England Compounding Center.
Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare does not order any drugs from this Massachusetts company and is not involved.
Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare patients who have received epidural or other steroid injections at any of our facilities, including hospitals, The West Clinic, surgery centers or physician practices, are in no way affected by this recent outbreak of fungal meningitis.”
