Methodist Le Bonheur Germantown Hospital Earns Center of Excellence for Minimally Invasive GYN Surgery

Methodist Le Bonheur Germantown Hospital was recently designated a Center of Excellence for Minimally Invasive Gynecology for consistently delivering the safest, highest-quality care to patients of minimally invasive gynecologic surgery.

Methodist Le Bonheur Germantown Hospital recently earned the designation as a Center of Excellence for Minimally Invasive Gynecology from the American Association of Gynecological Laparoscopists (AAGL), a professional organization dedicated to advancing minimally invasive gynecology worldwide.

“Being named a Center of Excellence for Minimally Invasive Gynecology (COEMIG) signifies our ability to consistently deliver the safest, highest-quality care to minimally invasive treatments for gynecologic surgery patients,” said William Kenley, CEO at Methodist Le Bonheur Germantown Hospital. “The COEMIG program fosters quality improvement in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, and participation has focused our team on exceeding clinical benchmarks and guidelines. But most importantly, our commitment to excellence improves the health and well-being of our patients.”

To deliver on its vision of advancing minimally invasive gynecology worldwide, the AAGL partnered with Surgical Review Corporation to develop the Center of Excellence in Minimally Invasive Gynecology program as a true quality improvement initiative.
