On Sunday, December 4, Methodist Hospice held its annual Celebration of Life service for families whose loved ones have passed away this year. During this touching memorial service, a chaplain read inspirational passages accompanied by music and a singing performance, and families were given special remembrance ornaments on which they could write the name of their lost loved one. As the chaplain read the name of the loved one, the family was asked to come forward and hang the ornament on the Christmas tree. At the close of the service, the family was able to take the ornament home and place it on their own tree as a special keepsake. The program concluded with a special prayer and reception.
