Successfully Navigating Depression, Stress and the Challenges of Life
September 17, 2013 at 12 Noon
Methodist Germantown Hospital, Women’s and Children’s Pavilion, Classroom 1
Speakers: Debbie Jones and Rev. Rick Kirchoff
Make plans to hear from Debbie Jones and Rev. Rick Kirchoff in the next installment of our Impact Speaker Series as they discuss how to better navigate depression, stress and the challenges of life that can often seem overwhelming.
Debbie’s husband, Dennis Jones, took his own life on December 28, 2009. She says, “It was a shock. I had no idea.” Debbie and her daughter, Cristin Santana, quickly realized that “nothing good comes from keeping secrets” and decided not to hide how Dennis had died or how he had battled depression. Instead, Debbie says, “I wanted to do something to turn this tragedy into something good.”
Debbie, in partnership with Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare, established the Dennis H. Jones Living Well Network to honor her husband and to be a resource for the many who struggle with depression and anxiety but are often afraid to ask for help.
Whether you need help for you or a loved one, you can access the Living Well Network either on-line at www.livingwellfrontporch.org or by calling 901.762.8558. The Living Well Network is a place where you can connect with an expert, learn about depression and anxiety and get in touch with resources and tools to help you on your journey to wellness.
We hope you will make plans to attend the next Impact Speaker Series and hear directly from Debbie and Rev. Kirchoff. The series is presented by our friends at Cushman & Wakefield/Commercial Advisors. Reservations are required and attendance is free. Reserve your spot today by contacting Bettye Durham at 901.516.0501 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
