The Congregational Health Network is partnering with cardiologists from Sutherland Cardiology Clinic to offer this educational series Thursday nights, January 16 through February 27 at Methodist University Hospital.

Healthy Hearts: Prevention, Detection, and Treatment of Heart Disease

Presented by the Congregational Health Network, this series provides an overview of navigating through cardiac care, including prevention, detection, treatment, and maintenance of a healthy lifestyle and positive outlook post-treatment. Prevention topics will cover healthy lifestyles, exercise, diet, stress reduction and medication. Detection topics consider the variations in patient experience and symptoms, with particular emphasis on how signs and symptoms of heart disease differ between men and women. New tools for diagnosis and treatment will also be covered, along with mental and spiritual coping. Physicians from Sutherland Cardiology Clinic will lead the sessions each week.
