Effective August 1, 2013, the Carnahan Clinic, PLLC, specializing in family medical and headache treatment, is a part of Methodist Healthcare. Located at 7900 Airways Blvd., Building A Suite 6 in Southaven, Miss., the Carnahan Clinic is run by Walt Carnahan, D.O. with Tammy Carnahan, FNP. They have seven staff members.
“As we continue to grow our number of aligned physician practices, the Carnahan Clinic is a great addition to the Methodist Healthcare family,” said Bill Breen, senior vice president of Physician Alignment. “The clinic is an established entity in DeSoto County and its clinicians are very good at what they do.”
Dr. Carnahan, a doctor of osteopathic medicine, is a Fellow in the American Academy of Family Physicians. He served his residency at Womack Army Medical Center in Fort Bragg, North Carolina and an internship at Westview Osteopathic Hospital in Indianapolis, Ind. Dr. Carnahan received a doctorate degree from the University of Health Sciences-College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kansas City, Mo.
He is a member of the American Headache Society, Mississippi Academy of Family Physicians and DeSoto County Medical Society.
Tammy Carnahan received her master of science in nursing at Delta State University in Cleveland, Miss., her bachelor of science in nursing from Union University-Germantown campus and a diploma from the Methodist Hospital School of Nursing. She has professional membership in Sigma Theta Tau National Honor Society and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
