Methodist Healthcare can move forward on Olive Branch Hospital with the news that Baptist will not appeal.
The deadline for Baptist Hospital to appeal Methodist's Certificate of Need to Build a Hospital in Olive Branch is tomorrow, Aug. 18 at 5:00 p.m. Methodist has just learned that Baptist issued a statement to the media saying they would not oppose our CON. Here is a statement from Methodist Healthcare:
"Methodist is pleased to be able to move forward with building a hospital in Olive Branch. The citizens deserve this access and choice. Moving forward our plans will be to select a team including architect, engineers, and a construction manager and begin the various approval processes with the City of Olive Branch. A time line for the project will be developed once the construction team is hired, hospital plans are finalized and all appropriate State and local approvals obtained."
